As The Facial Maestro, I am always asked for some “tips ‘n’ ticks” about getting the best out of our skin care, and the ultimate results for the skin.
Having been an aesthetician for nearly thirty years, I come with passionate beliefs and experiences honed over many years in Practice, as well travelling the globe as an Educator and Trainer to the skin care industry far and wide.
I have seen trends come and go, and have finely tuned my skin care offerings in a very curated and private approach in my studio. Working one-one-one and offering bespoke services at the salvation and for the love of skin... this is an experience unlike any other.
These are my Top 5 (make that 7) skin care habits and secrets for summer skin:
1. Double Cleanse:
Double Cleansing is essential to maintain clear, healthy and fresh-looking skin. Ideal all year ‘round, but especially in summer. We need to deeply clean the skin to remove sunscreen; skin secretions; sea water; sweat – and more!

2. Wear Sunscreen – and RE-APPLY every two hours:
Simply applying sunscreen once per day is not enough! Even if it is an SPF-50+...!
Always towel-dry the skin to remove any water or signs of perspiration... Apply the sunscreen to clean, dry skin. Wait 20 minutes prior to going back into the sun, in order to allow the sunscreen time in order to absorb and coat the skin. This is truly essential, in order to make the sunscreen effective.

3. VITAMIN C! Use it every morning:
The benefits of Vitamin C are immense and many! From preventing future free-radical damage; to upping the ante on the level of protection a sunscreen can offer... A properly formulated- and- delivered Vitamin C formulation assists in increasing Collagen Production; minimising redness and capillary inflammation – as well as assisting in the treatment of hyper-pigmentation and uneven skin colour and tone.

4. Use a hydrating masque at least twice weekly:

Some masques are so comfortable, they can even be left on all day, as a makeup base... or as a substitute for night cream, a couple of times weekly.

5. Don’t forget your Neck and Chest!
Mother always warned us about this one – and with good reason!
